2010 Annual Conference

Twenty-third Annual Conference Invitation

Michigan Herb Associates cordially invites you to attend their Annual Conference on Wednesday and Thursday, March 10 and 11, 2010, at Michigan State University. The 2010 Conference theme is:

"Herbal Gardening, Cooking, Decorating — Dill-lightful"

Dill is the 2010 Herb of the Year. The Conference will feature programs on herb culture, design, and cooking. Registration starts at 8:15 am, Program at 9:15 am. Conference meetings will be held in Wells Hall along with educational displays, silent auction, and several shoppe sales.

Free parking is available on the north side of Spartan Stadium and south of the International Center, off Shaw Lane. Handicapped parking is available at the west end of Wells Hall.
Wells Hall is located just east of Spartan Stadium on the south side of the Red Cedar River.

Registration Rates

Preregistration rates for MHA members are $70 for both days or $40 for one day. (Annual membership dues are $25.)

Non-member rates are $95 for both days or $65 for one day. Walk-ins, add $10 to the above rates.

The conference is open to the general public and walk-ins are welcome to register for one or both days.

Luncheon and banquet tickets

Tickets need to be reserved in advance (BY Wednesday, MARCH 3). Lunches are $10 each day and the banquet is $35. You can also register in person at the conference, but you will not be able to obtain luncheon and banquet tickets. You are welcome to bring your own lunch or go out to eat.

Housing

If you plan to stay over night at the conference and want to stay on campus, some rooms will be available at Kellogg Center. The number is 517.432.4000 or 800.875.5090. Be sure to tell them that you are attending the Michigan Herb Associates Annual Conference at Agriculture and Natural Resources Week to obtain conference rates. Call early in order to reserve a room.

Area motels rooms are also an option and here are four suggestions and all are located at the I-96 Okemos Exit 110:

About Michigan Herb Associates

Michigan Herb Associates was founded in 1987 and distributes a quarterly publication, The Michigan Herb Journal, which exists to communicate with members and all who are interested in herbs. The Journal contains articles of herbal interest and information about herbal activities throughout the state and region. MHA's motto is "Each One — Teach One". The Michigan 4-H Children's Garden is MHA's special project and has sponsored the Peter Rabbit Herb Garden and the Garden of Delight which are two of many garden themes.
